EXERCISE PHYSIOLOGIST

Iisha is a native of the Louisville, KY where Taylor’d Training, LLC operates. She started her business in 2020 during Covid-19. Iisha has been a professional in the fitness industry for eight plus years. Before starting Taylor’d Training, LLC she worked as a Healthy Living Coordinator for the Greater Louisville YMCA. She spent five years with the organization.

Iisha is a certified ACE personal trainer and received her nutrition specialization certification. Health and wellness have always been important to her since her younger years, after suffering a Stroke at the age of three. Iisha has not always seen herself in the fitness industry, her first love was basketball.

After high school she attend and graduated from Berea College, where she studied Physical Education and Health. Berea is where she realized that she would be involved in fitness. She started working with the Women’s Basketball Team as a student coach and during the off-season in the Athletic Training room.

She has worked with Spire Institute in Geneva, OH to complete her internship requirement for her Master’s in Exercise Science at Eastern Kentucky University, where she studied Sports Administration. After graduating she travelled up to Iowa to become an assistant women’s basketball coach.

Iisha hopes that you will allow her to share her gift and knowledge with you. She had this to say,

“Honestly, I just want to inspire and help people. My life is not my own but my choices are. With having a stroke so young and then pairing that experience with the knowledge I have amassed over the years; we all are more similar than we think. Someone tears their rotator cuff, they are working to get their range of motion and strength back, same with a stroke survivor or someone with brachialis syndrome.” That’s even more reason to believe that fitness is for everybody!
